The tournament, which took place from 18-
23 October at venues across the country, in

European Championships which will be hosted in
Northern Ireland.
Tournament director Sara Booth, who is the lead
organiser for WU19 Euro 2017, was delighted with
the outcome of the Women’s International Cup.
She said: “The tournament was a fantastic

England lifted the Women’s International Cup after
securing a 3-1 victory over France at the National
Football Stadium at Windsor Park. Their victory
followed wins against both the USA and Northern
Ireland which rounded off a successful week for
the young side.
The Northern Ireland team showed great
determination during a week which saw them
come up against some of the superpowers of
the women’s game. The tournament gave the
