L'Oreal is the main investment of the Group with a 29.4%* participation in the equity (repre–

senting 178 381 021 shares held by Nestle) for CHF 7795 million (2005: CHF 6971 million). Its mar–

ket value at 31 December 2006 amounts to CHF 21 784 million (2005: CHF 17 476 million). In 2006,
