Match -v- Northern Ireland Solicitors

The Solicitors' Go l f i ng Society regained " t he

Enterprise T r o p h y" in a most sporting and close lought

match with our colleagues from Northern Ireland at

Baltray Golf Club on Thursday. 27th September. The

Southern Team was lead from the rere by the President of

the Solicitors' Golfing Society, Mr. Erank O ' Donn e l l,

who appeared to take much pleasure in taking the £ 1.00

and the Trophy from his opposite number, Mr. Harry

Coll, President of the Northern Ireland Law Society. Both

Presidents attended dinner and "the a f t e r s" in the

Clubhouse. Eor the record the results were as follows.

The inaugural Golf Outing for the Solicitors' Golfing

Society Perpetual T r ophy took place at Newlands Golf

Club (by kind permission) on Thursday, 25th October.

The outing took the form of a mixed scramble and all

the participants, both winners and non winners, appeared

to enjoy the day and evening thoroughly.

For the record, the winning team comprised Elaine

An t hony (18), Philip Sheil (12) and J o h n ny Bourke (13)

who had a net 66 winning on the second nine from the

Lady Captain Mary Molloy (18), Sheila O ' Go r man (35),

Barbara Ccillier (36) and Gerrv Walsh (10).
