THE POWER OF UNRESTRICTED GIVING
Donors often target their gifts to the causes that touch their hearts and help to create the
kind of community in which they want to live. Your gifts to the CFNRV’s endowed funds
have allowed us to make grants to valuable individual programs, particularly in areas like
education and emergency assistance.
Even with our grant support, these organizations are limited in their ability to meet
regional needs. Moreover, there are needs in areas like housing and health that we simply
cannot address with the mix of endowed funds we have. This is why unrestricted giving is
so powerful.
With unrestricted gifts we can respond quickly and effectively to community needs
through a mix of staff support, expertise, and grant money. Here are just a few ways that
unrestricted gifts have helped us to serve our community in the past year.
