working standards. Target Lynx uses the powder weight, reconstitution weight, sample weight
and final weight of the sample entered into MassLynx to calculate analyte concentration in the
original sample. As a result this calculated value will be significantly greater than the analyte
concentrations in working standard solutions. The response ratio (ratio of peak area of native
compound to internal standard) is not affected by the dilution calculations.
ii)
If the response ratio for a sample is outside of the response ratio for the corresponding
compound calibration curve sample analysis must be repeated using an adjusted sample weight
such that the level of the native compound produces a response ratio that falls within the
calibration range.
