Corrections for inhomogeneities
Inside the inhomogeneity:
• the dose is mainly affected by changes
in the secondary electron fluence and to
a lesser extent by changes in the
primary beam attenuation in the
inhomogeneity.
• close to the soft tissue – lung interfaces
there may be a partial loss of EE.
