3D CRT 32 Gy / 8 fr / 4 days

19 treated with protons, 79 treated with photons

Median FU 82.5 months

PTV was lumpectomy cavity +15 to 20 mm inside breast

PTV volume recommended to be less than 30-35% of the breast

Non-target breast preferred to receive no more than 50% of prescribed dose

Details for protons:

1-3 fields, 1 field treated per day owing to availability of proton maschine

Passive scattered technique

Delivered physical dose adjusted to account for higher RBE of protons

compared to photons
