Svatopluk Krupiˇcka Session

A leading personality of Czech solid state physics, Svatopluk Krupiˇcka’s research
was focused on magnetism of solid substances - especially the quantum mechanical
description of ferrites and various magnetic oxides. His contribution to these
studies opened a new chapter in condensed matter physics. He was a long-standing
leader of the Union of Czechoslovak physicists, and after the velvet revolution,
director of the Institute of Physics CAS, a co-organizer of this QFS 2016
Conference.
