DAY 1 - MALTA – ROME

Meet the tour leader at Malta International

for flight Malta to Rome.

Proceed for the City tour of Rome visiting

Republic Square, Barberini Square,

Veneto Street, Villa Borghese, Ripetta

Street, Mausoleo di Augusto, Pietra and

Parliamento Square. Transfer to your 4*

Hotel for check in.

DAY 2 – ETERNAL AND IMPERIAL ROME

Breakfast and today we will start our

city tour by touring some of the most

important landmarks of Rome, visiting St.

Mary Major Basilica – one of the four main

Basilicas in Rome – St. John in Lateran the

‘mother of all churches’, built under the

emperor Constantine, the first Christian

Caesar, and renewed by Borromini in the

XVII century – The “Holy Stairs” with the

28 steps ascended by Christ in Pontius

Pilates’ house during his trial, San Paolo

Fuori le Mura which is a patriarchal basilica

dedicated to St Paul, near the site of his

tomb and containing his shrine. It is also the

Roman basilica assigned to the Patriarch

of Alexandria, and the second largest

church in Rome. Later we will proceed to

Navona Square, a typical Baroque square

and The Pantheon which is the most

complete ancient building in Rome and

one of the city’s most spectacular sights.

Visit to the Vatican, St Peter`s Basilica the

largest Church of the world, with millions

of golden mosaics, several Tombs of

Popes and the Pieta, Michelangelo`s most

important sculpture. Later proceed to The

Colosseum , Foro Romano, Piazza Venezia,

Altare della Patria and Campidoglio, Via

del Babuino, Via del Corso, and Piazza

del Popolo, Spanish Steps and Piazza di

Spagna, the most famous square in Rome

with its 138 steps and the fountain of the

Barcaccia, the Trevi Fountain and more.

We will also visit Trinita’ dei Monti which

is a famous church in Rome, well known

because of its location just above the

Spanish Steps that descend into the Piazza

di Spagna.

DAY 3 - ROMA - MONTEPULCIANO -

PIENZA – SIENA

Breakfast and depart for a delightful trip

through the rolling hills of the Chianti

Region. Will reach the hilltop town of

Montepulciano, an ancient village rich

of medieval and Renaissance buildings,

famous for producing one of the oldest

wines of Italy, the “Nobile di Montepulciano”.

Proceed to Pienza, the Renaissance town

built under Pope Pius II and also well-

known for its pecorino cheese. The tour

will proceed to Siena, where you will enjoy

a visit of the old city centre. You will be

walking along the

medieval streets admiring splendid palaces.

The sightseeing tour will end in the Piazza

del Campo with its spectacular Cathedral.

This is one of the most beautiful squares in

the world and site of the famous 600 years

old horse-race, called “Il Palio”. Check in at

the 4* hotel.
