PRACTISING CERTIFICATES 1962-63

(1) Members are reminded that practising certifi

cates for the year to end jth January, 1963 should

be taken out on or after the 6th January, 1962 and

not later than 5th February, 1962 in order to take

effect as a qualification to practice from January 6th.

(2) Under the provisions of the Solicitors Acts,

1954-60 the declaration to be lodged with the Society

on applying for a practising certificate shall be

completed and signed by the applicant personally

unless the Registrar, on the ground of illness or

some other sufficient cause, dispenses with personal

signature of the declaration.

Dublin agents of

country solicitors should therefore take up the

declarations in good time and forward them to

their correspondents for signature.

(3) The amount of the registration fee and

Compensation Fund contribution is as follows :—

(a)

If the certificate is issued within three years

from date of admission, .£11 for a Dublin

solicitor and £8 for a country solicitor.

(&) In any other case, £26 for a Dublin solicitor,

£23 for a country solicitor.
