Purpose Thermoplastic (SGT) cable has smooth thermoplastic polyvinyl chloride jacket to
provide protection against cracking, abrasion, weather, oil and acids. Ideal use is to provide
connection from battery to power or ground. Temperature rating: -40°C to 105°C (194°F to
221°F). Rated to 60V DC.

We recommend using dual wall adhesive shrink tubing for
protection against corrosion. See page 41-45 for desired size and
style.To choose proper size, follow these steps:
1. Choose heat shrink ratio and grade that is desired.
2. Identify desired gauge of battery cable and corresponding nominal OD from specification chart.
3. Choose the appropriate “inside diameter as supplied” heat shrink based on “inside diameter
after recovery”.
4. Be sure that “inside diameter after recovery” is slightly smaller than outside diameter
of battery cable.
