• Don’t limit your job search efforts to the Internet only

The Internet is an awesome tool for finding a job, but

remember that there are other effective job search tools

you can use such as networking.

• Don’t apply without meeting minimum qualifications

If you don’t meet an employer’s minimum qualifications

you are wasting both your time and the employer’s time.

• Don’t forget to follow-up

Your work is not done after you have applied for a position and sent off your resume. It’s up to you

to find out what the protocol is for follow-up and do it.

Remember to use keywords in your resume,

cover letter and any correspondence with

employers! The best place to find keywords

is in job postings and job descriptions from

the employer.
