Bob Frey:
(Introduce the Keynote Speaker)
Welcome back! At this time we It is my pleasure to introduce our
Keynote Speaker
Dr. Michael Lynch, NASCAR Vice President of
Green Innovation.
Based in NASCAR’s corporate headquarters in Daytona Beach,
Florida, Lynch has championed the widespread adoption and
implementation of sustainability practices across the sport.
Since joining NASCAR in 2008, Dr. Lynch spearheaded the launch of
NASCAR Green, which has since grown into the largest sustainability
program in all of sports and one of the most powerful and impactful
green programs in the public and private sectors.
Once coined ‘the dirtiest sport in America,’ NASCAR now boasts the
three largest green programs in sports: renewable energy, recycling
and clean air. As a result, three out of four avid NASCAR fans are
aware of “NASCAR Green” and recognize it as showing NASCAR
cares about the environment
