Robert Rankin
International Formula Council (IFC)
Robert Rankin is the Associate Director for the International Formula Council
(IFC), an association of manufacturers and marketers for formulated
nutrition products, e.g., infant formulas and adult nutritionals.
Robert has worked with IFC since 2005, and is fully engaged in a number of
regulatory, legislative, administrative management and other areas that utilize his expertise.
Robert works with officials from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and other
governmental agencies regarding industry issues, and has extensive experience in the
development and communication of industry positions. Additionally, he has worked with the
World Health Organization and has testified before U.S. state legislatures and local authorities
on industry issues. Robert also manages IFC staff on numerous activities, including document
development, member correspondence, third party communications, and website updates.
Prior to working with IFC, Robert spent two years at the Grocery Manufacturers Association.
He is a graduate of Duke University, where he earned a BA in Public Policy Studies, with a minor
in History. Robert resides in Easton, Maryland, with his wife and two children.
