Consult with the match Referee prior to the inspection

Consult with the match Referee during / after the inspection to mutually agree on a decision

If the ground is declared fit and the away Club instructed to travel, the away Club must be advised that the final decision is down to the match

Referee. However if the match Referee is going to call the game off it would be expected that there had been a deterioration in the weather or

an expected thaw of frost had not taken place since the original decision being made. If a game has not been called off after an earlier

inspection then the final decision will be made by the match Referee.

In exceptional circumstances when the regional weather conditions are known to be extreme (e.g. prolonged severe frost, clear water logging

or heavy snow) then a game can be postponed at the discretion of the League following consultation with the League Secretary / Fixture

Secretary. Should the League decide to agree to a postponement under such circumstances there will be no requirement for a pitch

inspection.
