We are congratulating Finland on its 100th birthday! Ruskovilla has been a part of Finnish-
ness for decades. We want to pass on the tradition of wellbeing to our children and grand-
children. It’s easy to fall in love with our simple products - they are everyday design in the
spirit of the time, with the materials themselves taking centre stage: organic wool, silk, silk
wool, and organic cotton.
By choosing to dress in natural fibres, you promote not only your own wellbeing, but also
nature conservation in Finland. Microscopically small textile fibres make their way into our
waterways along with our laundry water. Natural fibres return to the natural cycle, whereas
oil-based artificial fibres can persist for up to hundreds of years without breaking down,
thereby increasing the amount of microscopic plastic waste in nature.
The popular material fleece can during washing shed a large amount of small artificial fibres.
We want to do our part to provide an environmentally friendly alternative without compro-
mising on comfort. That’s why we rolled up our sleeves and created the men’s and women’s
soft jacket from organic wool fleece. It is a pleasure to wear all year round, either on its own
or underneath a coat. And our fleece doesn’t contain a shred of artificial fibre.
