Halogen technology
Halogen bulbs contain gas, usually a
combination of argon and nitrogen, and
tungsten filament. To create light, the bulb
uses electricity from the car and heats
the tungsten filament to around 2500°C
/ 4532.0ºF, while the filament starts the
incandescence process.
Halogen headlights are popular in the
automotive world due to their long life.
A halogen light bulb has a lifetime of about
1,000 hours under normal conditions, and
replacement costs are affordable.
