Preliminary Results on School Issues from Tuesday’s Election
A preliminary analysis of school district issues on the ballot this week shows that 116 of
151 issues (about 76.8%) were approved. However, only 12 of the issues were for new
operating money (not counting some proposals combining Permanent Improvement/
Bond issues with operating). The breakdown of the approvals is as follows:
Current Expenditures – New (10 of16)
Current Expenditures – Renewal (18 of 18)
Emergency – New (2 of 5)
Emergency – Renewal (29 of 30)
Emergency – Replacement (0 of 1)
Substitute (4 of 4)
Technology (0 of 1)
Traditional Income Tax Renewal (5 of 5)
Earned Income Tax – New (0 of 3)
Earned Income Tax – Renewal (1 of 2)
Bond Issues (13 of 22)
Permanent Improvement – New (6 of 10)
Permanent Improvement – Renewal (18 of 18)
