WOMEN’S RUGBY

KINGSPAN STADIUM TO HOST

IRELAND WOMEN

Kingspan Stadium will host an Ireland Women’s open training session on

Saturday 10th October 2015. This news comes after the exciting announcement

that Dublin and Belfast will host the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2017, the final

stages of which will take place at our very own Kingspan Stadium.

There are now 16 adult women’s teams playing

in competitions across the province, almost

double the number participating two years ago.

The popularity of women’s rugby has increased

dramatically and the Ireland team has been at

the forefront of the success story, winning the Six

Nations Grand Slam in 2013 and claiming the Six

Nations title earlier this year. At the Women’s RWC

in 2014, they caused one of the biggest upsets in

Women’s World Cup history when they defeated

four-time defending champions New Zealand in

the pool stages, before going on to finish fourth –

their best ever result and one they will no doubt be

looking to top in 2017.

Gates will open at 1.30pm and supporters will have

access to the coveted Women’s Rugby World Cup

Trophy and the Women’s Six Nations Trophy for

photo opportunities in the Scrum Bar. An open

training session will take place between 2.30pm

and 4pm and following that squad members will

be available for a meet and greet.

Tickets for this event are available now and

are complimentary to all supporters. You can

print yours now from home by visiting

www.ulsterrugby.com/Tickets.

Tickets are also available via telephone

(028 9049 3222 Option 2) or from the

Ticket Office at Kingspan Stadium.
