melt

it

a

tin

dish

over

a

slow

fire

;

add

about

an

ounce

of

boiled

linseed

oil

(varnish),

so

as

when

a

drop

is

taken

out

on

a

cold

stone

it

loses

its

brittleness

;

then

add

1

ounce

of

lamp-black,

stirred

in until

all

lumps

are

dissolved.

it

tin

dish

fire

;

add

lin-

seed

oil

(varnish),

so

as

quality

mix

chrome

green,

stirred

until

the

lumps
