UPM has built the world's first commercial
scale biorefinery producing renewable diesel
in Lappeenranta, Finland, where preparations
for full start-up have begun.
The fuel is called UPM BioVerno, and unlike
traditional biofuels, it is made entirely of
non-edible raw materials, namely residues
from pulp production.
UPM BioVerno is a low-emission renewable
diesel that is well suited for all diesel engines.
