1. The proposed procedures should add (a) 

Instrument Detection Limit (IDL), and (b) 

Method Detection Limit (MDL)

Action: WG decided to use LOD which is the 

equivalent of IDL, which uses blank matrix 

samples;  LOD uses matrix samples.  MDL was 

purposefully removed by the WG.
