Marking multiple shapes
SIC Marking is a leader in marking
technology. The company headquarters
is in Lyon, France, and subsidiaries
are located in Germany, USA, Canada
and China, supported by a worldwide
network of distributors.
SIC Marking offers stylus marking
and scribing systems as well as
laser marking systems. SIC Marking
products are used in the automotive
sector, aerospace industry, metalworks
and everywhere else where indelible
marking in hard materials is required.
The SIC Marking laser marking
systems L-Box and XL-Box are suitable
for marking workstations, where pieces
of different shapes and sizes need to be
marked simply and quickly with texts,
logos, bar codes and Data Matrix codes
in a safe environment. The fibre lasers
built into these systems are especially
powerful and long-lived and mark even
the hardest steel. Laser systems are
also available for integration into existing
manufacturing or assembly lines.
SIC Marking stylus marking systems
come in three varieties: portable systems
for marking large and heavy pieces in
storage rather than moving the pieces
to a work station, optionally equipped
with accumulators for independence
from the electric network; work station
systems based on columns for marking
on manually handled pieces and type
plates, optionally equipped with loading
and ejecting attachments; and systems
for integration into existing assembly
lines or robotic setups.
Stylus markers use a matrix of dots
(dot peening) to create logos, texts,
numbers and Data Matrix codes, and
can be programmed with numerous
variables for automated marking on all
kinds of work materials. These systems
generally only require electricity, and no
pressurised air.
There are also integratable scribing
systems (optionally also available for
workstations) which are supported
with pressurised air and drag the
stylus across the material rather than
using a dot matrix, which results in a
clear engraving. This type of system is
frequently used in VIN marking setups.
In the fourth quarter 2014 SIC
Marking presents the e1-p63c marking
gun, which combines the new controller
e1 and the compact marking gun p63c
in a very portable setup which can be
carried in a specifically developed
case. This system gives unprecedented
mobility to marking activities in all kinds
of industries and permits marking even
in remote locations and in narrow and
confined positions.
