Inspect the property before you

write about it.

Allow yourself sufficient time.

Don’t wait until the last minute.

Visualize the buyers who are most

likely to buy and talk to them.

Keep their viewpoint, not that of

the sellers.

Build your headline around a

feature of the property which will

appeal to your most likely buyer.

Tell them what they want to

know, and tell them enough to

keep their interest. Anticipate

their questions and answer them.

Use enough space to say what

must be said. An incomplete ad is

a waste, not saving.

Be honest. Don’t exaggerated.

Don’t be too flowery.

Avoid trite, overworked words

and phrases.

Avoid excessive abbreviations.

Only you can understand them.

After writing the ad, read it

and ask yourself this question:

“Would this sell the house if

I said it to the prospect when

talking to them face to face?” If

the answer is no, the ad needs

revision
