so by management. No employee may download, from the Firm’s computer
system, any files or other information unless authorized by management. If
an employee is authorized to work at home, or access the Firm’s computer
system from a remote location, they must take all necessary steps to secure the
information, files, or data from use by any unauthorized individual, i.e. where
an employee is authorized to work at home or from a remote location, and
the employee knows or has reason to believe that family members or others
are using the same computer, they must take all necessary steps to ensure that
these individuals do not access the Firm’s information or the Firm’s
internal system.
I.
Subsequent Employers:
No employee may take information of any nature in
whatever media to a subsequent employer unless authorized by management.
J.
Time outs and log off:
If an employee is authorized to work at home, or access
the Firm’s computer system from a remote location, the system is set to time
out and automatically logs the individual off after 10 minutes of non-use. No
employee is authorized to override the automatic log off. Employees must log
off their remote access computers if they are going to leave them unattended
for any length of time.
K. The Firm takes considerable measures to safeguard its information and the
information entrusted to it. Accordingly, all information to which an employee
has access is confidential. Under no circumstance is any information to be
shared with or given to individuals not authorized to receive or view it.
XXII. WORKING AT HOME
Within the discretion of management and subject to management’s approval, employees
may be allowed to work at home or off premises subject to the
following conditions:
A. If space is available in the offices of the Firm for the employee to perform their
functions, all expenses of working at home or off premises shall be paid by the
employee.
B. If management requires an employee to work at home or off premises, the
reasonable expenses for this request will be paid by the Firm, subject to prior
approval by management. No reimbursement will be given for unauthorized
expenses.
XXIII. GENERAL
Non-smoking Environment:
The Firm presents a totally non-smoking environment. Because
the entire office building is non-smoking, employees who wish to smoke are expected to
do so outside in designated areas.
Return of Property:
Firm property (e.g. keys, equipment) must be returned upon
termination of employment or upon the request of management. A reasonable amount
