Background

Primary pulmonary lymphoma is a very rare neoplasm,
representing only 2-4% of extranodal non-Hodgkin
lymphoma and only 0.4% of all malignant lymphomas
•
Most cases are represented by MZL (80-90%); DLBCL
very rare (10%)
•
Primary pulmonary lymphoma is defined as a clonal
lymphoma proliferation affecting one or both lungs in a
patient with no detectable extrapulmonary involvement at
diagnosis or during the subsequent 3 months
