Borealis and Borouge

As innovators and long-term, reliable partners to the global
wire and cable industry, both Borouge and Borealis will be
showcasing their premier technology brands, including Borlink™
and Borstar®, their premier product brands Visico™/Ambicat™ and
Casico™, as well as how they are investing in the future through
their technologies. Introduced at wire Düsseldorf 2012, Borlink’s
unique technology enables Borealis and Borouge to o er a wide
range of sophisticated extra-high, high and medium voltage
cable applications as well as semicon products. Key innovations
of Borlink include a tailor-made high pressure (HP) process for the
production of high purity, low density polyethylene (LDPE) base
polymers with superior electrical properties and the introduction
of a closed or controlled loop (from monomer to nal packaging),
which avoids contaminants and ensures homogeneous and
high-quality, clean compounds.
The Borlink technology is a step change innovation in the
power cable industry and serves as a platform for Borealis and
Borouge to work together under the theme ‘bringing energy
all around’ with the entire energy infrastructure value chain to
establish innovative solutions that address the challenges of an
increasingly connected world.
The unique Borstar technology supports applications in the elds
of water and gas distribution, wastewater and sewage disposal,
irrigation systems, chemical and industrial pipelines, in-house
plumbing and heating as well as pipe systems for oil and gas
exploration and transportation. Visico, Ambicat and Casico
solutions in low voltage energy transmission and distribution
cables as well as ame retardant applications o er innovations in
providing, installing and extending the lifetime of cable systems.

A member of the Gauder Group, Bow Technology is celebrating its
tenth anniversary, and on display will be a pre-shaped 1600 bow,
as well as the new generation multi-use Green Bow 2 (one bow
bre, three wire paths, and 30 per cent energy savings). Based in
France, the division is able to provide quality and long-life reliable
bows.
