CURRANT JELLY WATER.

One tablespoonful of currant jelly, dis

solved in goblet of water.

Sweeten to taste.

This is a very refreshing drink for in

valids, and especially for fever patients.

FLAXSEED TEA.

Boil half a cup of flaxseed in a quart

of water for about half an hour, then al

low to stand twenty minutes, near the

fire.

Strain and sweeten to taste.

Add a little lime or lemon juice, as

preferred.

This is an excellent drink for coughs,

colds, etc.

Two drachms of licorice root, bruised,

can be added to the above drink; if this

is done, allow the mixture to steep for

four hours.
