raWLING'S
Book of Mixed Drinks
JUST A WORD OR TWO.
■•Why, be this juice the growth of God. who
dare
Blaspheme the twisted tendril as a snare?
A Blessing we should use it, should we not?
And if a Curse-why, then. Who set It there?"
—From the Rubaiyat,
It is not my intention to preface this
little book with a sermon on temper
ance. Every right-minded man in our
business (and all the successful ones
are such) is an advocate of temper
ance; but he is ever ready to prove
conclusively that prohibition never
was, or never can be, what its advo
cates claim. We believe in moderation
-too much of anything is injurious!
We resnect the man who says, "I do not
drink'Tbut we will fight to the last
ditch the man who says, "I don't drink,
therefore YOU shall not I"
