The filter “mathematically correct” Lakshminarayanan
filter:
• Optimal spatial resolution
• Relatively high noise
Such a filter is in clinical practice referred to as a sharp or
bone filter.
Noise in the reconstructed images can be reduced by
filters that provide some
roll-off
at higher frequencies.
