Miele Australia presents its latest headroom
rangehood, the ´Pearl, recent winner of an
Australian 2017 Good Design Award. The Miele
Pearl is designed to feature dimmable atmospheric
lighting that allows it to become the focal point of the
kitchen.
Characteristic of headroom rangehoods is the pitch
of the canopy, allowing even those who are tall plenty
of room to peer down into pots and pans. The Miele
Pearl has a 90cm wide canopy with a bowed sheet of
toughened safety glass in a shade of white to match the
brilliant white on Miele built-in appliances. The design
is at its most striking when the atmospheric lighting
integrated into the canopy is switched on.
Miele’s Eco motor is powerful and energy-efficient.
The LED light strip which provides downlighting is
characterised by low consumption. As a result, the Pearl
sports an A+ on the European energy label, the best
rating awarded to rangehoods.
This hood also goes about its work extremely quietly
and can be operated in vented or recirculation mode.
The Pearl features Miele’s automatic Con@ctivity 2.0.
Whilst the user is free to concentrate on cooking, the
rangehood automatically adjusts suction power to what
is cooking on the cooktop below, ensuring a pleasant
room climate.
The Miele cooktop unit – and there are more than 10
compatible Miele cooktops to choose from – transmits
its settings via an RF link to the extractor. The installation
of Con@ctivity 2.0 is very simple and merely involves
inserting the RF transmitter which comes with the
extractor into its sheath. Users can also purchase a
remote control as an optional accessory.
The Miele DA 6996 W PEARL is on display at Miele
Experience Centres around Australia and available
