Standing Rules

Adopted February 15, 2001

The Executive Board, by a majority vote of those present, may alter the following rules:

Dues

1. Dues shall be $35.00 per year.

2. Dues should be paid by February 15 for the member to be listed in the handbook.

3. New members joining after June l will pay $17.50.

4. Dues paid represent eligibility in GLGA events.

Event Fees

1. Entry fees for Tournaments, Special Events, and Days of Play shall be set by the Executive Committee.

2. Unless otherwise specified, on Regular Days of Play, each player may put in $2.00, which will be pooled

and shared by that day’s event winners.

3. Guests playing in events sponsored by the GLGA may charge entry fees back to their home Club account.

Eligibility for play in GLGA Events

1. A cuto date for signing up and a cuto date for withdrawal for events will be set by the Executive

Committee after consultation with the Golf Shop. Such dates shall be listed on the sign-up roster for the

Tournament or Special Event. Failure to withdraw before the cuto date will forfeit entrance fees.

2. Event participants should call or stop by the Golf Shop to sign up for Days of Play, Tournaments, or

Special Events.

3. Participants should have an established USGA Handicap. Exceptions may be allowed by the Executive

Committee after consultation with the Golf Shop.

4. For all Tournaments or Special Events, the maximum handicap allowed will be 36 (players with handicaps

greater than 36 may play in these events but their handicap will be adjusted to 36). When playing “points”

the minimum will be 6.

5. All scores from rounds played should be posted immediately after play is completed. If a round is played

at a course other than Greystone, the score should be posted in the Golf Shop as soon as possible, using

the course’s slope and rating.

Flowers & Cards

1. Cards will be sent to sick or hospitalized members of the Greystone Ladies Golf Association.

2. In the event of the death of a member, spouse, or child, an appropriate memorial gift in the amount of

$25 shall be sent.

3. Flowers may be sent to someone who is seriously ill or for other situations deemed by the President and

Executive Committee.

Annual Awards

To be eligible for awards, all entrants must be members of the Greystone Ladies Golf Association.

An award or recognition will be given for the following:

Most Improved Golfer -

this award will be given to the member who lowers her handicap the most during

the year.

Special Accomplishments - (such as: breaking 100, 90, or 80, for the first time, hole-in-one, etc.).

Recognition will be given to members who have had “special accomplishments”, and this can be at the

Founders or Legacy on any day.
