NOTES
1. By section 3(3) of the Act of 1991 a
limitation period of t wo years from the
date on wh i ch the cause of action
accrued or t wo years from the "date
of knowledge" of the person injured,
if later, is provided for
actions
under
section 13(7) of the Sale of Goods and
Supply of Services Act, 1980, which
consist of or include damages
for
personal injuries
in lieu of the limitation
period specified in section 11(2) (d) of
the Statute of Limitations, 1957 (as
inserted by section 13 (8) of the Act
of 1980). By section 3 (4) of the Act
of 1991 the reference in
section 21 (4)
(b) of the Control of Dogs Act, 1986,
to section 11 (2) (b) of the Act of 1957
is to be construed as a reference to
section 3 (1) of the Act of 1991.
