MIXED DRINKS.

there are times when it is a good investment to ask
him to drink with you.
Don't refuse a man a drink if he seems to need it
and has spent money with you.
Don't trust a doubtful person for drink. If you
think his trade is worth anj'thing ask him to have one
on you,say that the proprietor allows no credits. If he
is a man of sense he will not bother you again, but if
you let him get in his little wedge he will run up a bill
and never show up again, and when you meet acci
dentally and speak about it he will deny owing anything
or plead poverty.
Don't give a man a drink when he has had enough.
Some men don't know when to quit and go home.
With them the acme of satiety is reached only as a
result of an incompetency of their stomachs to hold
more.
Don't be in too great a hurry to find out what a
party of gentlemen want as they approach the bar.
Don't let them feel that you begrudge the space they
occupy while they talk. Sometimes placing glasses of
water before them will break the ice on the subject.
Don't forget to serve your effervescent drinks last
in waiting jon a party.
