Bladder reference point
Bladder point is obtained in following way
:
•
Foley’s catheter balloon is filled with 7 cm
3
of
radio-opaque fluid
•
Catheter is pulled downward to bring the balloon
against the urethra
•
On lateral radiograph, reference point is at the
posterior surface of balloon
•
On frontal radiograph reference point is taken at
the centre of balloon
