Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP)

is a hereditary, progressive retinal degeneration in both eyes. Night blindness, usu-

ally in childhood, is followed by loss of peripheral vision (initially as ring-shaped de-

fect). It progresses over many years to tunnel vision and then blindness.
