Exceptional Aftertaste
Madeira’s gastronomy consists of a
combination of fresh regional products
and traditional traits from their ancestors,
resulting in an explosion of tastes in your
mouth.
To truly savor these regional flavors, the
“carne de vinho e alhos” (pork marinated
in wine and garlic) and black scabbard fish
with fried banana are a must have.
The Pearl of the Atlantic is also known
for their notorious Madeira Wine ranging
from a dry to sweet taste. Along with
other traditional drinks, like “nikita”
or “poncha” typically served around
Christmas time.
