Reduced tumor endothelial apoptosis in asmase -/-
mice. Tumors grew 2-4 x faster than in the wild-type.
Tumors with apoptosis-resistent vascular endothelium
Were resistant to radiation
Endothelial apoptosis was observed with doses >8 Gy
in wild-type endothelium.
