The UK offshore oil and gas industry endeavours to reduce the number of oil and chemical releases on the UKCS.
Through Oil & Gas UK forums and work groups members are encouraged to share experience from incidents and
lessons learnt. This year, there has been particular focus on enabling future data gathering to better understand
the sources and causes of hydrocarbon and chemical releases.
