Jennifer McCarthy
Bidwell 1996
Jennifer McCarthy Bidwell
1996 joins the Board as Vice
President of the Havergal
Old Girls Association
(HOGA). After graduating
fromHavergal in 1996, she
went on to achieve a BA in
History from the University of Toronto. She has
been an active member and HOGA volunteer for
more than 13 years. In addition to serving as HOGA
Vice Chair, Jennifer also chairs the HOGA Awards
Committee. Jennifer works in Sales and Marketing
for Bell Media (CTV Brands) and lives in North
Toronto with her husband and two young daughters.
Betsey Chung
Betsey Chung is the Chief
Marketing Officer at the
Bank of Montreal, Personal
& Commercial Banking and
Global Wealth Management.
She has had roles around
the globe, including the UK,
Europe, US and now Canada
and at companies including American Express
and KPMG Consulting. Betsey completed her
MBA at the London Business School in the UK,
majoring in Marketing and Strategy. Betsey has
two daughters in the Junior School.
Nagy Ghobrial
Nagy Ghobrial has had a
successful 25-year career
in the financial services
and telecommunications
industries in Canada and
the US. Currently, he is
the North American Head
of Strategy and Business
Solutions at Tata Consultancy Services. Prior
to that, he held senior roles in the investment
and telecommunications industries with a focus
on information technology. For the past three
years, he has served on the United Way Toronto
Major Individual Giving cabinet and on the
advisory board of Enterprise Ireland. His daughter
graduated from Havergal in 2012.
Debbie Simpson
Debbie Simpson has more
than 20 years of knowledge
and expertise in Canadian
and international finance,
accounting and treasury.
She is currently Chief
Financial Officer at Maple
Leaf Foods, responsible for
leading all financial aspects of the organization.
Debbie holds a BA in Accountancy and a MSc in
Accountancy and Finance from the University of
Stirling, Scotland, and obtained her professional
designation fromThe Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Scotland while working at Ernst &
Young. Debbie has a daughter in the Junior School.
Mary Whitelaw
Mary Whitelaw joins the
Board as Chair of the
Havergal College Parent
Association (formerly named
the Havergal Community
Committee). Mary is the
Head Buyer for Lando
Lighting Galleries. She has
been an active volunteer for many years with both
St. Andrew’s College and Havergal College, where
her daughter is currently in Grade 12.
