SUT
SUT is an innovative project by Michele Specogna, a young winemaker in Friuli. Born in the northeastern
Italian region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, Michele was introduced to the world of wine at a very young age. His
grandfather founded the Specogna Estate in 1963. Michele studied Enology in high school and worked
at the Braida – Giacomo Bologna in Piemont during the harvest 2000. After graduation, he became fully
involved in the family Estate. In 2003, Michele founded Toblar, a young, dynamic and ambitious winery
established in Ramandolo. Michele is now the chief winemaker of both Specogna and Toblar.
SUT Ribolla Gialla delle Venezie IGT
Hailing from the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, this yellow-skinned grape is used to make a wonderfully-
perfumed and artfully-crafted white wine. The origins of this grape are not known with certainty, but it
is thought to be related to the Robola grape from the Greek islands as well as Rebula from Slovenia. No
matter the apocrypha, the resulting wine is crowd-pleasing and food-friendly.
