Teurema, Spain, designs, manufactures
and supplies equipment for the
production of ferrous wire such as cold
rolling lines, multi-pass dry drawing
lines, horizontal and vertical spoolers,
static coilers, pay-offs, and take-up
lines for treatment plants.
The company’s latest developments in
the take-up of wire include horizontal
spoolers suitable for handling spools
with up to 5,000kg of wire, and single
vertical spoolers with speeds of up
to 14m/s.
The company also produces cold
rolling lines with double automatic
spoolers that can work with fixed
or collapsible spools of up to 5 tons
of wire.
These spoolers comprise a platform
with positions for two spools: one being
filled and the other one empty in stand
by. Once the preset weight or wire
length is reached, the platform rotates,
introducing the empty spool, threads
the wire on it and starts automatically,
without operator involvement.
The company can integrate with the
spooler an automatic spool handling
and collapsing unit, enabling the user
to produce strapped coils instead of
fixed spools with wire.
It is also possible to combine the
line with spooler with a high speed
straightening and cutting unit for the
production of bars between 2.4m and
18m length, and 6mm-12mm diameter
at a maximum speed of 6m/s. This
allows the production of either spools
or straight bars.
