Built to customer specification
Fine International offers a wide variety of
pay-off and take-up systems for wires,
cables and fibre optic applications.
Shaft style pay-off machines are
available for reel sizes from 250 to
800mm (10"-32") flange diameters.
Units are available in drag or driven
mode. Multiple station units
for fibre optic loose tube
lines include catenary arm
dancers for precise tensioning
of each fibre.
Shaftless payoff systems
(500-1800mm – 20"-72") are
manufactured to customer
specification based on line
speed and overall reel weight
considerations. Custom designs are
available. Take-up units include belt
driven or independently driven traverse
units.
Telescoping arm, floor traversing reel pay-offs and
take-ups are available for reel sizes from 1250-3200mm
(48"-126") and weight capacities up to 20 metric tons. Entry and exit guides
are fitted with sensors to allow reel centering or pitch adjustment. Automatic
crossover take-ups are available for reel sizes from 400mm to 1250mm (16"-50").
Semi-automatic units can be designed for reel sizes up to 1800mm (72").

YMD Engineering was founded in 1990, as a tool and die manufacturing
company in New Jersey, USA.
In January 2000 the
company expanded its
activities into the de-
sign and building of
special machinery
and entered in-
to the wire and
cable field with
the development of
universal pay-off and
take-up machines.
The models introduced
were P0630 and the
TU 630-800.
The company is currently
selling its model UPT630-800,
which includes universal pay-off and take-up, with a pneumatic dancer arm
with pressure regulator, analogue induction proximity sensor and encoder
control and spooling traverses.
