New pizza oven
Thank you to the Ancient Mariners for the donation of the oven and to Ron Draper for installing the
electrical service to it.
New weather station
Thank you to the Ancient Mariners for the donation of the unit. Thank you to Ron Kemp and Ed Romatz
for the beautiful handmade mounting of the readout unit. I don’t know if you have seen it yet, but Ron
also built us a new NCYC clock that is hanging in the bar. He did an awesome job and I am proud to have
it.
Additional water to island pedestals
Thank you to the Ancient Mariners for the donation of the water piping and to the many helping hands
that worked alongside Bill Calihan doing the installation. Bill and Scotty Bell spent several weekdays on
top of the Elite Brigades and work parties on the island to ensure this project was completed.
Boatique Doors
The Boatique is looking better than ever with the new double entry doors out to the patio area thanks to
P/C Rick Romatz and Bill Calihan, and the entry door looks brand new with the professional refinish job
done by the dynamic duo of Ron Kemp and Ed Romatz. Thanks to all of you for the fine work.
Old Kid’s Room
The old kid’s room space First Mates renovation looks amazing. If you haven’t seen it yet, you need to go
and take a look. Thank you First Mates.
Additional maintenance improvement projects
In the 2016 budget, we increased the Harbor & Grounds and Clubhouse maintenance budgets to get
some sorely needed maintenance upgrades done.
The first aid room has been transformed to sleeping room #6. All first aid equipment and supplies are
now located in the vestibule going out to the flag area. The first aid cabinet has a tamper seal on the
door. If you have to break the seal please let the Manager know so the items you took can be replaced
and available for the next person in need.
We have improved the safety of getting on and off the boats on D dock as well as along the Robison by
expanding the dock size.
We rebuilt the failing deck between the clubhouse and the pavilion.
