Vernier scale with 0.05 mm (1/20) graduation
Vernier scale with 0.02 mm (1/50) graduation
Vernier 1/20 has a measurement value of 0.05 mm, that means
3 graduation marks on the vernier mean 3 x 0.05 mm = 0.15 mm.
Vernier 1/50 has a measurement value of 0.02 mm, so 3 graduation
marks on the vernier means 3 x 0.02 mm = 0.06 mm. With this
accuracy, a threshold is reached, which is barely readable without
aid by the human eye.
