3000
moves
into Idaho
and Utah
Syringa Networks, an Idaho-
based regional provider
of fiber-optic services, has
selected the modular optical
transport platform FSP 3000
from ADVA Optical Networking
to provide high-speed
connectivity to southern Idaho
and northern Utah businesses.
Syringa Networks was created
in 2002 to improve telecommu-
nication and rural broadband
services in Idaho. The carrier
is a longstanding partner of
ADVA.
“We’re excited to partner with
ADVA Optical Networking
to offer flexible data transport
solutions to Idaho businesses,”
said Greg Lowe, president
and CEO of Syringa Networks.
“Cost-effective access to
data-intensive services helps
rural communities retain local
businesses, attract new
companies, and create
jobs in their communities.”
“This network means much
more than just reliability,
availability and increased
bandwidth,” said John Scherzinger,
ADVA’s senior vice president
of sales in North America.
“With always-on access to
high-bandwidth applications,
this network will have an enormous
impact on businesses.
“Telemedicine, distance learning,
and video conferencing are just
the beginning. This connectivity
will expand economic capacity
and commerce throughout
southern Idaho.”
