The largest exhibition in the wire and cable industry
calendar is just over a month away now, with wire 2014
being staged in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 7th to 11th
April.
It is hardly surprising that a large section of wiredInUSA
is devoted to the fair, with more than 1,300 exhibitors
displaying the latest machines and technology to an
anticipated 38,000 visitors and decision makers from
around the world.
You can catch up with some of the American businesses
heading to Germany in our special section on page 44.
And if you are attending the show, feel free to stop by

Another highlight in this issue is that the Brazilian
government is investing some $185m for an undersea
fiber optic telecommunication link with Europe to
increase security and reduce Internet costs. You can
