Ben Mount
Special Teams Coordinator / Kickers
Coach Mount is a native of Silver Creek, GA. He is a 1993 graduate of Pepperell High School where
he played football, wrestled and participated in track. Coach Mount attended Cumberland College
and Jacksonville State University where he played offensive and defensive line. Coach Mount has
19 years of coaching experience in Middle and High School sports. This is his 3rd year working with
the Hiram football program and he will be responsible for Special Teams Coordination. This is Coach
Mount’s 4th year as assistant wrestling coach and assistant track coach.
Coach Owens, a Hiram alumni, returns to Hiram as a member of the offensive staff, as the
quarterback coach. Coach Owens has 6 years of coaching experience, 4 years at Temple High
School, and he is approaching his third year at Hiram. Throughout his coaching experience,
Owens has coached multiple sports including football, basketball, and track; sports in which he
competed in as a Hornet. After high school, Coach Owens played football at Tusculum College and
Jacksonville State University. At Hiram High School, Owens is also the boy’s Track Head Coach and
he teaches the Web Development pathway.
