Welcome to the career magazine, just one of a number of new resources and
activities designed to help you research your options, identify your skills, reflect
on your qualities and plan your future!
Firstly, you now have unlimited access to this digital Ebook. Although you will
be directed to use it as part of your lessons each year, you are also encouraged
to use it outside lessons too. Go to the index page and explore a range of careers
based on your interests. There are over 1700 careers here and more are being
added all the time. Don’t forget to read the outlook information about what is
happening in the industry.
Secondly, you now have the oppor tunity to complete a digital careers action
plan which will help you get more clarity on your future. Each year in Values &
Ethics or Tutorial you will have dedicated time to revisit the Careers Ebook and
complete the careers action plan. Read all about this on the next page and follow
the advice given. Enter all the information you can, take your time and then submit
to the school’s Careers Adviser. In return you will receive, by Email, advice and
guidance to help you with your career planning.

This is Mrs Sheard who is based in the Sixth Form study centre. Additionally,
Mrs Sharpling the school’s librarian and Year 10 Work Experience Co-ordinator
can help you find resources in the careers section of the school library.
Mrs Sheard can help you with advice on courses, careers, writing a CV,
discussing your options and directing you to resources that will help you.

completing this as fully as possible it will give vital background information
which will ensure the advice and guidance is accurate and appropriate.
