Sustainability at Havergal
At Havergal, we strive to raise
awareness about the importance of
environmental sustainability, and
we have been changing the way we
think and operate in order to address
our concern for our natural world.
Our current focus is to continue to
increase our knowledge and to develop
actions for sustainability, particularly
in the areas of energy, waste and
water. Through creating awareness
of the issues, and specific actions to
address them, community members
are encouraged to develop a greater
appreciation of the importance of
sustaining our environment and to learn
how to preserve it.
Did you know? Havergal currently
diverts 67% of its waste from landfills.
How are we doing this? We reduce,
reuse & recycle and compost.

The Havergal College
Grandparents Program
Involve your daughter’s grandparents
in the life of the school through
the Havergal College Grandparents
Program. A vibrant part of our Havergal
community, our grandparents have
the opportunity to share in their
granddaughter’s experiences.
Grandparents enrolled in the program
receive communications from the
school including mailings of our
signature publications, The Torch
and Chronicle, invitations to special
events, such as Grandpals Day, and an
invitation to participate in Havergal’s
Annual Giving program.
